Our Mission

A recent study found that 86% of LGBTQ people grew up in a faith community. The majority of them left after age 18. But here is an amazing finding from the study: 76% (over 8 million people in the U.S.!) are open to returning to the faith of their youth! Contrast that with the fact that only 9% of the general population have that same openness, and you can see that churches have a HUGE opportunity to rebuild the relationships with those who left!

In his book “The Meaning of Marriage” Tim Keller writes,
“To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything.”

How can churches be places where all people, including those from the LGBTQ community, can be Fully Known and Truly Loved?

Staff and Leader Education

We can meet with your staff and leadership to help you think through LGBTQ issues, plan and implement programs, and develop a fresh outlook on a crucial issue in our world today.

Congregational Presentations

We can come and speak with your entire congregation or faith community to help them understand ministry direction and how they can play an important part in making your church a place where LGBTQ feel welcomed and loved.

Ministry Coaching and Consulting

We consult with individual leaders on both ministry and personal issues, from leading their ministry to better understand and welcome the LGBTQ community, to working through family and community issues when someone they love comes out as LGBTQ.

Mark has spoken at King of Kings and his heart and words come from Scripture first, with grace and truth. The care and wisdom Mark brings on the topic of LGBTQ+ come with depth, love, and care for Jesus and for all people. If the church would heed his approach and wisdom from the scriptures, there would be no question that God’s grace and truth bring life and fulfillment to all. Mark will be a recurring voice in our community as we press into Transforming Lives as our purpose, by connecting people to God, Each Other and the World.

Our church family was working through a difficult situation. My son had recently come out as gay and our leadership and some members were struggling with how to respond.
